Gary Singer
Owner & Creative Director
Gary has gained over 20 years’ experience in the kitchen industry, with brands such as Holloways of Ludlow and Buyers & Sellers, before establishing Eggersmann Design in 2016. As Creative Director, Gary relishes in the challenge of finding solutions to create well balanced designs that integrate seamlessly with the technical elements that are associated with high end finishes in the kitchen and beyond. Gary’s innate appreciation of natural materials, combined with an eager interest in new technology fuels his dynamic leadership of the team, inspiring them to constantly push boundaries with their designs.
Gary currently spends much of his free time designing and project managing the refurbishment of his new family home. He likes to escape the dust by playing with his two young children and is working hard at honing a recipe for ‘knock your socks off’ chilli sauce. At least if the kitchen doesn’t survive the culinary disasters, he knows who to speak to!
Wendy Grater
Head of Projects
As Head of Projects, Wendy brings her extensive experience of over 30 years working in the kitchen design industry to Eggersmann Design. While studying architecture at university, she realised that her passion lay in designing interior spaces. This interest in the interplay between function, aesthetics and detail led her into a career in the kitchen design industry. With Wendy’s pioneering vision she soon founded her own kitchen company in South Africa, specialising in bringing high end German kitchens to the South African market. She gained invaluable experience in designing and delivering German kitchens and fitted furniture to large-scale residential projects, such as the V&A Waterfront Marina Residential in Cape Town, as well as other iconic developments. What she loves most is the dynamic of working with all the different specialists involved in a development project, to create and deliver the best possible kitchen and fitted furniture schemes.
Out of her work environment Wendy loves to indulge in the thrill of speed, whether galloping on a horse or trying to out-cycle her two sons. She particularly enjoys the abundance of nature walks that the UK has to offer and can often be found walking through woods and along canal paths whilst simultaneously pursuing her passion for photography.
David Manning
Senior Designer
David discovered his passion for wood craftsmanship at a young age which led him to study Furniture and Product Design at Sheffield Hallam University, completing a BA in 2014. David went on to work for a high end bespoke joinery company and on several freelance furniture projects which enabled him to focus on function, ergonomics and construction.
David’s design approach is influenced by the Bauhaus movement – to create beautiful, timeless and functional spaces while always looking for new materials or construction techniques. David currently spends most of his spare time with his young family and working on their new home.
Roberto De Jesus
Designer
As a graduate in Product Design and Marketing, Rob kicked off his work experience as a chef in a Mediterranean restaurant. He combined his love of the kitchen with his innate designer identity in his next position as a kitchen and joinery designer. Building on his passion for design, he turned his focus to bespoke furniture. During this time, he became fascinated with the relationship between different materials and how their qualities affect functionality. Rob became a joinery coordinator for a bespoke interiors company before joining Eggersmann Design, where he relishes focusing on the niche kitchen design market.
During his free time Rob loves socialising with friends and has an extensive appetite for reading. He also enjoys running and skipping for the fitness that it brings while also helping to deal with any extra calories that might result from his deep love of cooking.
Isaac Nwaku
Designer
After graduating with a BA Interior Architecture degree from Oxford Brookes University in 2017, Isaac embarked on his work career with an Architectural Technology company. This is where he honed his skills in draughting, design and layouts of residential structures. He wanted to pursue his interest in Interior Architecture and Interior Design, so he participated in an apprentice scheme run by United in Design. During this time, he worked for a period of three-month stints with four different Design companies. His collaborations with lighting, furniture and design consultants, gave him invaluable experience and a deeper understanding of the design process. At the end of his apprenticeship, he realized that his period of working within the context of Kitchen Architecture, during his placement with Eggersmann Design, had sparked his full interest. Motivated by his new passion, Isaac joined the Eggersmann Design team as a designer and there has been no looking back.
In his spare time Isaac is an avid traveller taking any opportunity to see the world. He is also something of a sports fanatic and his sport of choice is ice hockey, playing at league level. Isaac also has a deep appreciation of music and art.
Waldek Szynkowski
Installation Manager
Waldek’s career in furniture started at the tender age of 15 when he worked alongside his father in their family-owned antique shop. Over a ten-year period, he was taught restoration of antique furniture and he honed his woodworking skills with a specific emphasis on solid wood and veneering techniques. Waldek then moved to the UK where he established himself as a kitchen installer working for Holloways of Ludlow. This is where he first met Gary and later joined the Eggersmann Design team, installing his first Eggersmann kitchens in 2008 and he has never looked back. As Installation Manager, he brings his depth of experience to the team and oversees our installations with an exacting eye while setting an exceptionally high standard of work.
During Waldek’s spare time he can be found scuba diving and indulging in his passion for gardening. He loves watching performance sport on television, particularly ski jumping and motorcycle speedway.
